ZOMBIE ZOMBIE: DRIVING THIS ROAD UNTIL DEATH SETS YOU FREE

While browsing the archives of the prolific DAILY FILM DOSE I came upon a music video that is quite interesting. Half electronica, half John Carpenter. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

...THOUGHTS ON KUBRICK

If Stanley Kubrick were alive today, he'd shoot all his films digitally.

ROB...JOE...AND OSCAR WINNING EDITOR SCOTT CONRAD?

I've been in the middle of a computer switch, so I haven't really gotten around to listening to this podcast all the way through until tonight and I just wanted to make sure I didn't sound too much like a giddy school girl while talking to the
Oscar winning editor of ROCKY before recommending you faithful readers to listen.....

It should be noted that Rob Rector, over at NATSUKASHI, is doing some really incredible work. The idea of his site, if you don't already know, is to interview various film bloggers about films they remember from their formative years, but haven't seen since. Then, we go back and watch them.

Rob was kind enough to contact me to yet again to join him on his fine show, and I was more than happy to. The film.... CAT'S EYE.
Recently, for each of these podcasts, Rob has been lucky enough to get people who have actually worked on the movies being discussed. For this Stephan King trilogy of terror he managed to get Scott Conrad, a wonderful editor and extremely nice guy, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the result. Film editing is the most fascinating part of the filmmaking process. It is the only part of the production that does not exist in any other art and to talk about it with a man who not only works in the business, but has used his skills to shape one of the greatest movies of all time was a great pleasure.
